Bennett Staff are currently seeking a Stick Welder to join our client based in Ashton under Lyne, Tameside. The ideal candidate will have experience in Stick welding and pipe fabrication, with a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Perform MMA (Stick) Welding on carbon/mild steel, low-alloy, and stainless-steel pipework.
Weld in multiple structural positions (flat, horizontal and vertical)
Accurately measure, mark, cut, bevel and groove industrial pipe
Align heavy-duty pope sections, flanges, and fittings using jack stands and squares.
Operate plasma cutters, flame burners and grinders to prep edges.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

Working Hours:

7.45am to 4.30pm – Monday to Thursday
7.45am to 1.45pm – Friday
39hrs per week.
Starting at £16 Per Hour (Pay Rate Negotiable)
