School Catering Assistants – Tameside & Stockport Areas

Bennett Staff is currently looking for reliable Catering Assistants to support schools across Tameside, Stockport and surrounding areas.

We have ongoing opportunities available for people who enjoy working in a busy kitchen environment and are looking for flexible part-time work during school hours.

This role would suit someone with previous catering, kitchen or food service experience, although full support will be provided.

Duties Include

• Assisting with basic food preparation
• Serving meals to pupils and staff
• Clearing tables and collecting trays
• Washing up and keeping kitchen areas clean
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Supporting the catering team during busy lunch periods

What We’re Looking For

• Previous catering or kitchen experience is essential
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to work well within a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• A food hygiene certificate is beneficial
• DBS check required for school roles (we can help arrange this)
