We are looking to recruit a Sales Order Processing Team member, for our expanding Tameside client. You will play a pivotal role in facilitating the seamless execution of production orders for their diverse customer base. Your primary responsibilities will include processing customer orders, particularly focusing on pre-screen clean orders, and generating quotations utilizing the in-house order software.

Success in this position hinges on your exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Attention to detail is paramount, especially given the intricacies involved in order calculations. Additionally, a proactive attitude towards learning our expanding product range is essential for thriving in this role.

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities

To quote effectively, efficiently, and accurately and to check own work before sending it out to the client to confirm.

  • Ensure precise, efficient, and accurate processing with thorough self-review before sending to customers/clients for confirmation.
  • Proficiently handle customer orders and processing them accurately through the computer system.
  • Ability to manage both electronic and hard copy files effectively
  • Place external orders with various suppliers
  • Undertaking additional tasks as necessary to support the team’s objectives
  • Demonstrate effective communication with internal and external stakeholders/customers as needed.
  • Uphold a high standard of customer service by promptly and effectively addressing customer queries.
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively within the team to achieve collective targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in order processing or a similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software for order entry

  • Full-time Monday to Thursday with an earlier finish on Friday
