QUALITY INSPECTOR (QCI)

Our client based in Ashton, are looking to recruit for Quality Inspector to start ASAP on a Temporary to Permanent basis.

Duties include:

The ideal candidate will come from a background in uPVC & aluminium production and have a good understanding of quality systems & tools. Have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels demonstrating good leadership. You will need to adapt quickly to new in-house systems and be able to prioritizes workloads accordingly.

  • Achieve departmental Key Performance Indictors on a Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly Basic.
  • Inspect all items manufactured on the line in accordance with the Final Inspection Checklist.
  • Non-conforming products to be identified.
  • Primary role of making the decision process to accept, rework or reject any non-conforming material.
  • Take part in complaint and remake investigation.
  • Identify weaknesses in the process.
  • Support the Line supervisors, providing clear information for any products rejected.
  • Minor repairing of products such as corner cleaning, penning in, cleaning of products.
  • Support team members if other lines if the balancing of the lines is uneven.
  • Housekeeping standards to be always met.
  • Continuously improves the products and processes used to manufacture Window, door and products.
  • Analyze and assist with problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action(s) to prevent producing nonconforming material. Participate in the implementation of corrective actions with process owners.
  • Communicate trends & actions with regards to cost of quality.
  • Perform any additional tasks identified to support the Quality/Continuous Improvement team.

Requirements

  • Experience within a quality-based/inspection role would be an advantage.
  • Person with a strong work ethic and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business.
  • Relevant knowledge/experience of machining and/or assembly processes.
  • Experience using engineering measuring devices.
  • Committed and supportive collaborator.
  • The ability to grow within the role and continually looking to improve.
  • Working knowledge/experience of faced paced assembly processes.
  • Good IT Skills, working knowledge of EVOnet.
  • A tenacious and robust working ethic. With a good knowledge of the parts, we make

Working Hours:

  • 8.00am to 4.00pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8.00am to 3.00pm (Friday) = 39hrs per week.
