OPERATIONS MANAGER (A17526)
Our long-established manufacturing client require an Operations Manager to oversee and optimise all functions to ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability.
Some duties include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement streamlined operations, ensuring standardisation and consistent quality, to meet customer demands
- Oversee stock levels
- Setting goals and KPIs for manufacturing processes, logistics and support
- Manage production workflow and allocate tasks
- Meeting Targets
- Quality control
- Identify any inefficiencies and make improvements as required using Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing
- Oversee shipping/delivery of produced goods, ensuring cost efficiency and punctuality
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage all production personnel
- Identify and implement any training needs
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings to ensure the performance and motivation of production personnel
Health and Safety:
- Ensure all machinery is running efficiently and all maintenance is completed
- Enforce strict Health and Safety regulations and ensure all are adhered to
- Identify any operational risks and develop and implement plans to combat
- Promote sustainability practices including environmental and energy-efficient operations
General duties:
- Liaising internally with the Project Manager, Sales Personnel etc
- Problem-solving
- Key Holder
- Any ad hoc administration duties
- The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role and will have a positive managerial style, promoting motivation and a healthy workplace.
What else you need to know:
- Hours are 7.30 – 4.45 pm with a 4 pm finish on Fridays (flexibility required to meet demands)
- Holidays are 22 + stats, rising one day per year, capped at 26
