One of our well-established Glossop firms are looking to recruit an experienced Night Shift Supervisor to join their growing team.  

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of our warehouse operations, including receiving goods, managing stock, and ensuring timely picking, packing, and dispatching of orders. Your role will involve:

Energising and guiding a diverse team of full-time, interim, and agency staff during night shifts, focusing on motivating and developing them to achieve top performance. You will maintain a strong emphasis on health and safety, staff wellbeing, and the overall presentation of the warehouse, while actively addressing challenges and managing inventory.

About You:

  • Proven leader and team player that can manage a diverse team within a warehouse setting.

  • Can deliver clear instructions and demonstrate high standards across the shift.
  • Flexible and dedicated to adapting to changing shift demands.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication and listening abilities
  • Sets high performance, people, and housekeeping standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft systems (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety principles
  • Familiar with day-to-day warehouse operations
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervise colleagues to achieve timely task completion and maintain an organized warehouse.
  • Complete warehouse administration accurately and conduct weekly stock counts.
  • Uphold health and safety, cleanliness, and security standards.
  • Maintain equipment through best practices and preventative maintenance.
  • Lead the team with coaching, performance reviews, and alignment with our client’s values.

What else you need to know: 

  • Salary: £31,625 -£35,075 (Dependent on Experience + inclusive of shift allowance)
  • Contract: Full Time/ Permanent/37.5 hours per week
  • Onsite Working: Sunday – Thursday, 22:00 – 06:30
