Our Manufacturing client require a Supervisor to oversee all functions and man-management of their busy shop floor, including man-management, work distribution, quality control and health and safety. Working with Team Leaders and providing direction re staffing levels and technical issues, you will ensure the shop floor runs swiftly, in keeping with budgets and exceeding KPI’s.

Responsibilities include:

Man-managing shop floor personnel, maintaining a positive and happy work force, including conducting one-to-ones and reviews, identifying training needs and managing attendance and punctuality issues, if required;

Optimizing effective workflow and distribution of duties;

Ensuring Health and Safety procedures and checks are in place at all times;

Liaising with Machine Maintenance Teams to ensure all machinery is safe and fit for purpose, whilst reporting any malfunctions if needed;

Providing a ‘hands-on’ supervisory approach and therefore leading by example;

Ensuring quality, safety and delivery at all times;

Taking responsibility for any issues that may arise and finding solutions;

Encouraging a strong team-player environment;

Proactively looking at ways to improve systems, and implementing as required.

Successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years direct supervisory role in the manufacturing sector, and will have had experience in production and employee management. Experience of lean-management.

Technical qualification advantageous.
