ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (A16677)

We are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for one of our expanding firms based in Tameside.

Some duties include but not limited to: 

  • As our Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will report directly to the Facilities Manager, in what will be a very much “hands” on pro-active role, you will be responsible for all aspects of Electrical repairs and maintenance of machinery including automated assembly, injection moulding machines, powder coating lines, conveyors, and hydraulic presses.
  • The role will also involve electrical installation work throughout the site on things such as armoured cable to feed new machinery and equipment, lighting, and power installations throughout the plant as well as Completing PPM activities of factory services and equipment and also supporting new installations of plant and other equipment.
  • You will have a proven track record in a similar role with an extensive Electrical understanding and ideally some basic mechanical ability, you will also be able to identify potential issues and advise on corrective course of measures.
  • We are looking for focused team player with a strong character who likes to work in a fast pace expanding business, is passionate about further improving the department, is creative and has the ability to convey their own ideas to the department.

Qualifications/skills:

  • Ideally you will be apprentice trained or equivalent, hold at least NVQ level 3 qualification in electrical maintenance or installation, have good fault-finding skills and 18th edition wiring regulations BS 7671.
  • Experience working in a factory environment is preferred.
