CONVEYANCING ASSISTANT / ADMINISTRATOR - Tameside (CAJN)

We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Conveyancing Assistant/Administrator to join our clients legal team. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support within the conveyancing department, ensuring smooth processing of property transactions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Minimum 2 years conveyancing experience essential:

Duties

  • Drafting and typing legal documents using audio typing and standard word processing tools
  • Managing and maintaining accurate client and case files using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Assisting with the preparation of conveyancing documentation and correspondence
  • Scheduling appointments, meetings, and deadlines to ensure timely progression of transactions
  • Communicating with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other stakeholders via email and telephone
  • Organising and prioritising workload to meet strict deadlines through effective time management
  • Supporting the team with general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
  • Ensuring compliance with confidentiality protocols and data protection regulations
  • Utilising IT systems efficiently to track case progress and update relevant parties

Requirements

  • Proven administrative experience, preferably within a legal or conveyancing environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with audio typing is highly desirable
  • Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software systems quickly
  • Strong typing speed with high accuracy levels
  • Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to work responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
