Our busy client is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent customer service while ensuring that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• MOT preparation
• Maintenance work on HGV vehicles and trailers
• Carry out service checks
• Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques, including power tools.
• Perform heavy lifting and equipment repair tasks as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including parts used and time spent on repairs.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization within the workshop environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role in the automotive industry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various vehicle systems.
  • A valid driving license is required; an HGV license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all work performed.

Hours are 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday, and 7 am to 12 pm alternative Saturdays.

Our client offer many benefits including overtime rate, Health and Wellbeing, and an annual performance related bonus. Holidays are 20 + stats, increased after 2 years to one extra per year, capped at 23.
