WOOD MACHINIST / OPERATIVE - Hadfield (WMOCM)

Our client based in Hadfield; Glossop are looking to recruit for a Wood Machinist/Operative to start ASAP on a Temporary to Permanent Basis.

Duties include:

  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company specifications.
  • To work efficiently and safely
  • Using machinery, i.e. Dimension Saw, Mitre Saw, Spindle Moulders, Dovetailers, Tenoners, CNC’s etc.
  • Preparing components to achieve the high standard of finish required
  • Working to achieve set daily/weekly output targets.
  • Moving of stock with the use of pallet truck
  • Reporting any issues / defects to senior staff
  • Previous wood working or joinery experience advantageous but not essential.
  • A good knowledge of and the ability to use hand/power tools common to furniture manufacturing.
  • Able to produce furniture components from written instructions along with manufacturing drawings.

Working Hours:

  • 7.30am to 4.30pm – (Monday to Thursday) and 7.30am to 1.30pm (Friday)
  • 40 hours per week.

  • 12 – Week Temporary to Permanent positions.
  • On site Parking
  • Pay Rate is from £12.71 per hour.
