We are currently seeking a MIG Welder/Fabricator to join our client based in Hyde, Cheshire. This role is a temporary to permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

• The general role of the job is to MIG weld mild steel sections that have been fabricated. These will then move into the paint section before going for final assembly.
• To be able to weld sections, normally to engineering drawings, sometimes to sketches and sometimes to be able to follow verbal instructions.
• Ideally the have at least four years experience performing similar work.
• Ability to work with a range of hand tools (drills, grinders etc.).
• Removal of any spatter.
• Ability to work with a range of machine tools (guillotine, folder, drills, saws etc.).
• Ability to work with flame cutting equipment.
• Ability to work independently unsupervised or in a small team.
• Tasks must always be performed in the safest possible manner, adhering to safe working practices and always wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment
• Removal of any sharp edges from materials used; this is to be performed as soon as possible to prevent you or any others receiving cuts whilst managing the materials.
• Keep accurate time records for each job worked on. The time sheet should always have the relevant works order number for the job being worked on, the discipline being performed (fabrication, welding, rectification work or waiting time).

The above role is at an important stage in the manufacturing process, getting things correct here helps everyone else in the process.

A critical part of your role is feeding information back so the organisation can improve and hopefully make your role easier.

Working Hours:

• 8.00am to 4.30pm – Monday to Thursday.
• 8.00am to 12.30pm – Friday.

Additional Information:

• £15.83 per hour
• Free on-site parking.
• Weekly Pay.
• Temporary to Permanent position.
