MECHANICAL FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER (A17297)

£35000 to £35000 PA Permanent

One of our well established Stockport firms are lookin to recruit an experienced Engineer.

Some key duties include but are not limited to:

To visit customer sites to repair and commission engineering equipment together with servicing and maintaining a range of milling machinery;

Workshop: To carry out routine mechanical tasks together completing paperwork from customer visits and liaising with internal departments to direct enquiries appropriately;

Requirements, albeit not limited to:-

  • A recognized engineering qualification from a time served Engineer or an experienced Engineer trained through an Apprenticeship programme;
  • proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with a mechanical bias, electrical knowledge would be an advantage;
  • previous experience working within a manufacturing and production industry, preferably gained experience within an FMCG environment;
  • have a strong understanding of the HSE rules and regulations involving safe working conditions when on site;
  • read and interpret assembly drawings, engineering drawings, RAMS and Risk Assessments;
  • proficient with micro metres both internal and external, together with alternative precision measuring equipment;
  • able to be both proactive and reactive in an ability to meet customer needs;
  • excellent communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and/or customers at all levels;
  • ability to work unsupervised alone and as part of a team, potentially leading a team;
  • experience of flour/rice milling would be an advantage;
  • willing to travel and stay overnight;
  • a valid UK Driving License is essential
