ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT (S2201)
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Accounts Assistant to work with our client based in Stalybridge, Tameside. This role will be a 3-month temporary role.
The ideal candidate will be interested in partnering with our client to deliver excellent invoices/settlements processes for clients & vendors. While we look for somebody with some experience in billing, we are also looking someone with good attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Create invoices / settlements for customers and process/approve our vendor invoices.
- Communicate with other departments to complete the settlement process.
- Follows procedures and comprehends invoicing instructions including upload to client portals.
- Processes large amounts of detailed information with accuracy
- Incorporates an understanding of how Operations processes affect invoices / settlements.
- Uses Excel to summarize and document reporting metrics required by clients/vendors as well as to assist in invoicing process.
- Extract data from various operational and accounting software to ensure completeness of billing.
- Code invoices to proper General Ledger accounts and divisions; ensure accuracy of VAT and invoice presentation.
- Responsible for meeting client/vendor deadlines for settlement reporting and invoicing.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth transacting of client billing.
Formal Education & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in an office environment preferably with invoicing knowledge.
- Analytical and highly numerate.
- Knowledge/familiarity with the administration of IT systems.
Skills
- Relevant, recent experience invoicing customers and processing vendor invoices in a large company accounting department
- Previous work experience with Navision accounting software or other large ERP system.
- Ability to multitask by taking on new assignments regardless of current workload.
- Experience of dealing with UK VAT would be an advantage.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Ability to perform Excel functions, specifically Pivot Tables and Report Formatting
- Strong communication skills – both oral and written.
- Team player – willing to be part of a team and supportive of other team members.
- Accurate and high attention to detail.
Additional Information:
- 5hrs per week – Monday to Friday
- £13.00 per hour.
- Free on site parking.
- 8.30am or 9.00am start.
