PRODUCTION MANAGER - Stockport (PMJN)
Our established manufacturing client requires an experienced Production Manager to ensure the smooth running of their workshop, including production flow and man-management responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning and Coordination:
- Oversee the Production job planning systems, to make sure project deadlines and customer expectations are met, making improvements if required.
- Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to align production activities with project requirements.
- Monitor production processes, addressing bottlenecks or delays promptly.
Team Management and Leadership
- Lead, supervise and mentor the production team, machine operators, fabricators, and all production operatives.
- Monitor staff performance and address any issues related to productivity or discipline.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to understand client requirements and ensure seamless execution of orders.
Equipment and Facility Maintenance:
- Ensure all production equipment and tools are maintained and functioning optimally.
- Maintain a clean and organised production floor to promote safety and efficiency
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure the production environment complies with all health and safety regulations.
What else you need to know:
- This is a fast-paced working environment, meeting tight deadline. Similar experience is essential. Company vehicle provided.
- Standard hours are 8 am – 4.30 pm Monday to Friday, flexibility is required to meet demands
- Holidays are 20 + stats, rising one day per year following 5 years’ service, capped at 25 + stats
