Join a Local Charity as an Accounts & Admin professional, on a Part-Time temp role, where your expertise will drive the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organisation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a broad spectrum of accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support administrative processes that keep our business running smoothly. Please note this role is part-time, four hours a week!

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations using leading accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.

Perform general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Prepare financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and budget variance reports to support decision-making processes.

Conduct account reconciliations regularly to verify account balances, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.

Support budgeting activities by monitoring expenses against budgets and providing insights for financial planning.

Experience

Proven experience in corporate or non-profit accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts, including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting.

Hands-on experience with popular accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero or equivalent financial management tools.

Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and account reconciliation efficiently.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping tasks such as 10-key typing and general ledger reconciliation.
