PURCHASING CO-ORDINATOR (A17425)
One of our well established clients are looking to recruit a Purchasing Coordinator. The role will initially be for 3 months fixed permanent contract, with a view to being extended.
As a person you will be comfortable with Microsoft office, excellent admin skills and comfortable with being on the telephone. Day to day you will be chasing up orders and speaking to suppliers so the above is essential, even better if you do have similar experience in a purchasing role.
Some other duties include but are not limited to:
o Review Requisitions /MRP and consolidate where possible
o Obtain quotations from approved suppliers
o Timely conversion of requisitions to Purchase orders
o Gain order acknowledgements and expedite to project requirements
o Highlight any concerns to the Purchase manager regarding part supply
o Identify and materialize savings
o Liaise with Planning and design regarding part issues
o Work with Quality engineers to resolve issues and return to vendor of materials
o Assist Purchase manager with strategic projects / tasks
o Work within the larger purchase department for joint projects / strategies
o Must be comfortable working in both teams and as an individual.
o Good communication skills with all levels of authority
o Able to consider multiple issues to gain the best solution
o Excellent attention to detail
o Confident in their own skills
o Willingness and drive to develop within a purchase vocation
o Able to take on multiple tasks throughout the working day
o Ability to achieve UK security clearance essential
What else you need to know:
- 36 hours per week – Monday – Friday ability to work from between the hours of 7/9.30 am till 3pm with a 2 pm finish on Friday. Work from home day after completing 3 months probation.
