FAIR PAYMENT CODE

We are delighted to share that we have been awarded with a Gold award for the high standard of payment practices.

The Fair Payment Code (FPC) sets standards for payment practices and best practice and is administered by the Small Business Commissioner on behalf of the Department for Business and Trade (DBT).

The Fair Payment Code awards businesses based on three thresholds:

The Bronze Award is awarded to those paying at least 95% of all invoices within 60 days

The Silver Award is awarded to those paying at least 95% of all invoices within 60 days, including at least 95% of invoices to small businesses within 30 days

The Gold Award is awarded to those paying at least 95% of all invoices within 30 days

The Small Business Commissioner is responsible for regulation and governance of the Fair Payment Code and recipients of the Code. The application process for the Fair Payment Code is independent of any contract, and the Awards are made strictly on the basis that businesses meet the criteria and abide by the Code’s principles. Failure to do so may result in being rejected or removed from the Code. The Commissioner has the power to determine which companies become awardees and investigate complaints concerning any businesses. These investigations can result in awardees being removed from the Code or having their award changed to a tier that best suits their payment practices.

WILLOW WOOD HOSPICE

Since partnering with Willow Wood Hospice in 2015, we have pledged to raise as many funds as possible to support the remarkable work they do within our community. Over the years, our team has taken part in a wide range of fundraising activities, including the Bubble Run, Midnight Wander, live bidding during their 60th anniversary auction, and the Enterprise Challenge, to name just a few. THE POWER OF RESILIENCE

We have chosen “The Power of Resilience” https://thepowerofresilience.co.uk/

The Power of Resilience is a non-profit Christian Ethos community initiative founded by Executive Director Julie Mallinson. It started in January 2021 as an online support group for those facing hardship in the Covid-19 pandemic. The Power of Resilience CIC increases self-esteem, resilience and confidence through creative and wellbeing workshops, peer support, nature activities and social events. These vary seasonally. In January 2022, a core group of members constituted a local community group, providing ongoing support and aftercare for those facing adverse life circumstances.

Julie set up her own pantry outside her house, Droylsden Glass made it watertight. They rely on donations from the public and now get support for M & S, Aldi and a few others. They fed over 2000 people on Christmas Day 2024.
