Summary of experience:

Originally started in 1990 as an Office Junior then progressed up the ladder covering many desks and learning all aspects of recruitment from secretarial, catering, and industrial. During this time I also attended private shorthand and several other courses. Loved every minute!

In 2000 I joined the board of Directors to take the business to the next level. 2016, I became Co-Secretary and MD.

My role now is still very varied if not more than before,  it’s about keeping a bird’s eye view on absolutely everything from customer satisfaction, marketing, cash flow, keeping temporary workers and clients happy not to mention keeping our team happy with the help from my co-director Rob. Ensuring the business performs to its growth strategy whilst maintaining its original “family feel” culture and values.

Why I love my job:

Not many people can say after 33 years of service that they love their job – but I do! It’s all about the people and having job satisfaction. Our biggest asset is our team, they work so hard to give a “first-class service”. I feel as a leader, you have to lead from the top and treat people as you want to be treated this goes in every job not just mine.

The best thing about the North West:

Being a born and bred Lancashire lass, its about being part of the local community and giving back to those less fortune than me. I like to do my bit for local business and charity. We work hard then play hard.

In my spare time: 

I am a firm believe of live for the moment, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, we go away some weekends. I enjoy walking, music, spending time doing my garden.
