PRIVATE CLIENT SOLICITOR - North West (PCSJN)
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Private Client Solicitor to join our clients esteemed legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert legal advice and comprehensive services to high-net-worth individuals and families. As a Private Client Solicitor, you will manage a diverse caseload, including estate planning, inheritance matters, and personal legal affairs, ensuring clients receive tailored solutions that align with their unique needs. Your expertise will help clients safeguard their assets, plan for the future, and navigate complex legal landscapes with confidence and clarity.
Duties
- Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate procedures.
- Conduct detailed legal research using platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case preparation and legal opinions.
- Draft and review legal documents with precision, including estate documents, trust agreements, and client correspondence.
- Manage a varied caseload involving family law issues such as divorce, child custody, and financial settlements.
- Provide guidance on securities law, landowner-tenant disputes, and environmental law as they relate to private client interests.
- Negotiate settlement agreements and facilitate smooth communication between clients and opposing parties.
- Stay current on relevant laws including tribal law & regulations, workers’ compensation law, personal injury law, immigration law, and litigation procedures.
- Support clients through complex legal processes by conducting thorough research and offering strategic advice.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure comprehensive service delivery across multiple areas of law.
- Maintain meticulous records of case progress, correspondence, and legal documentation in accordance with law office standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Private Client Solicitor or in a similar role within a reputable law firm or legal office environment.
- Strong knowledge of estate planning, family law, securities law, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, litigation, patent law, and tribal regulations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis for case preparation.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear, precise legal documents and correspondence.
- Skilled in negotiation tactics to achieve favourable outcomes for clients while maintaining professional integrity.
- Legal administrative experience including managing case files and maintaining detailed records efficiently.
