MECHANICAL ENGINEER - Tameside (MEJN)
Our client need a hands-on technical expert to diagnose, troubleshoot, and optimize all mechanical and hydraulic systems to keep our production line running flawlessly.
Core Responsibilities:
- Fault Finding & Repair: Rapidly diagnose and rectify mechanical and hydraulic faults to minimize production downtime.
- Reliability Engineering: Monitor hydraulic system performance and lead root cause analysis (RCA) on failures to implement permanent, corrective actions.
- Maintenance Programs: Actively support and drive clients preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives.
Expertise they are looking For:
Hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience with heavy-duty facility equipment, including:
- Banbury/Internal Mixers & Open Mixing Mills
- Hydraulic Presses, Rams, & Power Units (HPUs)
- Cylinders, Pumps, Valves, and Accumulators
- Extrusion and Material Handling Equipment
- Cooling and Utility Systems

- Hours are 47.5 per week Monday to Friday
- £60,000 pa
