Our established client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Production Technician to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, hands-on experience with assembly line operations, and familiarity with factory environments. This role involves designing, maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, supporting assembly processes, and ensuring smooth production flow within a dynamic manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

Analyse production to identify areas for improvement
Working with CAD
Ensure production meets quality, environmental and health and safety standards
Design jigs and fixtures to improve production
Use hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical devices to perform repairs, adjustments, and installations.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical problems and implement effective solutions.
Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance
Implementing changes to increase and improve productivity where possible
Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and QC methods
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to adhere to safety standards.

More details you need to know:

Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
Salary may be negotiable depending on experience.
Hours are 7.45 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday, finishing at 12.45 on Fridays.
25 days holidays per year, plus stats.
Onsite parking
