CNC SETTER / OPERATOR - Tameside (CNCCM)

We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join a manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in precision machining, and related processes. The ideal applicant will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Setting CNC machines using Fanuc controls.
• Operating vertical, horizontal & turn / mill machining.
• Production of various types of fasteners and other turned parts.
• Production of machined items using works instruction (machine shop card).
• First off & stage inspection and signing off each stage on the works instruction (machine shop card).
• Selection of suitable tooling & replacing the tooling in the correct location on completion of each job.
• Performance of weekly maintenance check on all machines, any faults to be reported to the Works Manager immediately.
• Maintain a clean workshop as per the machine shop cleaning Rota.
• Maintaining a clean personal workspace.
• Willing to perform other reasonable duties as directed by the Management Team.
