We are looking to recruit Sewing Machinist’s, on a Part-time Temporary basis, where your expertise will play a vital role in producing high-quality textiles and sewn products. This position offers the opportunity to work with precision machinery and contribute to innovative manufacturing processes. As a Sewing Machinist, you will be instrumental in transforming raw materials into finished goods that meet exacting standards.

Duties

Operate industrial sewing machines with precision to produce various textile products according to detailed specifications and blueprints.
Set up and adjust sewing equipment, including tension, stitch type, and speed, ensuring optimal performance for each project.
Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and adherence to safety standards, adjusting as necessary.
Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of sewing machines and related tools to ensure smooth operation.
Collaborate with team members on assembly processes, troubleshooting machine issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometres to verify dimensions and quality standards throughout production.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on sewing machinery.
Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or CAD files.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
Ability to work safely using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tooling in a manufacturing setting.

£12.21 + HP, weekly pay
Hours between 8am – 6pm – Late shifts can be offered
