Bennett Staff are looking to recruit for an experience Wood Machinist on a temporary to permanent basis for our client based in Denton, Manchester.

Key Responsibilities

Operating and setting up machinery (Panel Saw, Planers, Multi-head molders, Spindle machine, edge banders).
Interpreting technical drawings, CAD designs and cutting lists.
Producing high-quality components for Joinery, furniture, and timber products
Performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and quality checks
Lifting and carrying large sheets and panels (heavy lifting required)

Key Skills and Experience.

Proven experience with woodworking machinery
Experience with CNC programming and operating is advantageous but not essential.
Knowledge of various timber types and materials
Ability to work from technical drawing and plans.

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday – 7.30 am to 4.00 pm
Friday – 7.30 am to 2.30 pm
Overtime available between 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm (Mon to Thurs) and all day Saturday.

Pay Rate:

£14.00 to £17.00 per hour
