Our client based in Audenshaw; Manchester is looking to recruit Good in/Out Operative to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

The Goods In/Out Operative are required to support the smooth movement of materials across their busy manufacturing site. This role involves operating forklifts and overhead cranes, handling products, and ensuring accurate stock flow.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, check, and record all incoming materials
Prepare, pack, and load outgoing orders
Safely operate forklifts for loading/unloading
Use overhead cranes to move steel and heavy items
Maintain accurate stock movement and documentation
Ensure materials are stored safely and correctly
Support production teams with material handling
Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with H&S procedures
Assist with general warehouse duties as required

Skills & Experience

Valid forklift license (Counterbalance or similar)
Experience with overhead cranes (training can be provided)
Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Ability to follow safety procedures and work as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and proactive

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday – 8.00am to 4.30pm
Friday – 8.00am to 1.00pm (maybe required to stay until 3.00pm depending on business needs)
