Our forward-thinking Tameside client require a Compliance Officer to ensure obligations are met in all avenues of the business, including driving towards Net Zero. Working closely with the Environmental Manager, you will be responsible for:

EPR Compliance
Ensuring environmental legislation and maintaining ISO 14001
Overseeing the company’s Carbon reduction Rate
Progressing the company towards Net Zero
Evergreen documentation
Completing compliance questionnaires
Maintaining Approved Suppliers List, ensuring all suppliers fall in line with compliance
Managing accreditation schemes including CHAS and FSC
Leading sustainability programmes
Conducting audits in line with ISO
Supporting Q and E Manager with preparations for ISO 9001 and 14001 external audits

A keen eye for detail is essential for this pivotal role. You will be confident in delivering presentations and be proactive in recognising and challenging any noncompliance. The successful candidate for this role will have an enthusiasm for environment and have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a compliance related role, including carrying out internal audits.
