Since partnering with Willow Wood Hospice in 2015, we have pledged to raise as many funds as possible to support the remarkable work they do within our community. Over the years, our team has taken part in a wide range of fundraising activities, including the Bubble Run, Midnight Wander, live bidding during their 60th anniversary auction, and the Enterprise Challenge, to name just a few. Through our collective efforts and ongoing commitment, we are proud to have raised and donated an impressive £7,800 since the beginning of our involvement, and we remain dedicated to continuing our support for this truly inspiring cause. https://www.willowwood.org.uk

THE POWER OF RESILIENCE

We have chosen “The Power of Resilience” https://thepowerofresilience.co.uk/

The Power of Resilience is a non-profit Christian Ethos community initiative founded by Executive Director Julie Mallinson. It started in January 2021 as an online support group for those facing hardship in the Covid-19 pandemic. The Power of Resilience CIC increases self-esteem, resilience and confidence through creative and wellbeing workshops, peer support, nature activities and social events. These vary seasonally. In January 2022, a core group of members constituted a local community group, providing ongoing support and aftercare for those facing adverse life circumstances.

Julie set up her own pantry outside her house, Droylsden Glass made it watertight. They rely on donations from the public and now get support for M & S, Aldi and a few others. They fed over 2000 people on Christmas Day 2024.
