Due to maternity and additional work load one of our Expanding Glossop contractors require a Trainee Office Assistant

Some duties include: 

  • Assist Accounts manager in day-to-day tasks
  • Ensuring office is stocked with necessary supplies and all equipment is working and properly maintained
  • Order PPE & office work wear so stock levels are continually replenished
  • Perform receptionist duties: greet visitors, manage post and answer and direct phone calls
  • Update training matrix and book training courses
  • Manage tool register
  • Manage company vehicles and contracts
  • Update social media – Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
  • Manage office contracts – Printer, plotter, phones etc.
  • Document control
  • O&M collaboration with Procurement Manager
  • Taking minutes in meetings
  • Update portals like ‘Construction Line’ to make sure all information is continually updated
  • Ensuring that policies are up to date

Person specification and what is on offer with our client: 

  • Providing holiday/illness cover when necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Well-presented and good timekeeping skills
  • Motivated with a good work ethic
  • Keen to learn and progress
  • GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in Math’s and English are desired
  • 8 am – 5 pm Monday to Friday 1 hour lunch
  • Company parking and kitchen facilities

  • Smart office dress code – polo shirt and fleeces provided
